Press Release: Regional Health Systems Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of New Mobile Health Clinic, Empowering Community Health Access

MERRILLVILLE, IN -Regional Health Systems, a member of the Regional Care Group, celebrated the grand opening of its state-of-the-art mobile health clinic Wednesday, August 16. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the culmination of years of dedication and commitment to expanding health care access in the Northwest Indiana community. This ambitious project has been made possible by a Health Resources and Services
Administration grant.

The mobile health clinic represents an innovative approach to delivering comprehensive medical care, bringing essential services to neighborhoods and individuals who face barriers to accessing traditional health care facilities. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by a dedicated team of health care professionals, the mobile health clinic will offer a wide range of services, including primary care, dental care, and preventative screenings.

“Congratulations to all the leaders and dedicated healthcare professionals with Regional Health Systems for successfully obtaining this mobile health clinic and utilizing this federal resource,” said Congressman Frank Mrvan. “I am grateful for your commitment to enhancing and expanding your invaluable healthcare services to individuals and families throughout our region.”

The mobile health clinic will travel across Northwest Indiana — making stops at Geminus Head Start locations and other partnering facilities throughout the area, offering screenings for children and adults.

“Our new mobile health clinic isn’t just a vehicle; it’s a symbol of our promise to the community,” said Bill Trowbridge, CEO of Regional Care Group. “A promise that says we’re here for you, that we’re committed to being part of the solution to better health, wherever and whenever you need us.”

The mobile health clinic will play a pivotal role in ensuring that community members receive the care they need, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status. By focusing on prevention, early detection and disease management, Regional Health Systems is dedicated to promoting long-term well-being and improving overall health outcomes.
