Victoria and her happy family

“I had a love of a drug. Now I have the love of my family.” Victoria Charleston-Hanley Recovery Matters Graduate 1995 Program Supervisor, Recovery Matters Unit

Keep hope alive.

Meet Victoria. Single-mom and caregiver to her dying mother, Victoria used cocaine, heroin, and alcohol for 30 years to numb the heartaches. In 1995, after losing her mom and her home, she found herself in a dark alley promising this time was the last time. And it was.

Victoria checked herself into our residential treatment program, followed up with six months in a halfway house, and regular group meetings. Soon Victoria found her life’s work was encouraging others with addiction. She realized if residents had a spark of hope–she could help fan it into a flame. Victoria went back to school and today, she thrives as a devoted Mom, Gramma to four, and a program supervisor for Recovery Matters.

What does she want you to know today? “Keep hope alive.”

Transforming Indiana, one family at a time.

If you or your loved one is seeking treatment, we can help. Regional Health Systems offers comprehensive and wrap-around addiction services for adults—including pregnant women and women with dependent children—and adolescents with or without insurance. (Pregnant women with a substance use disorder are given admission preference.)

Recovery Matters, our adult residential program, can get you back-on-track in up to 28 days. During your stay we’ll provide a comprehensive health evaluation, private and group therapy services. As you prepare for discharge, our staff will help you with after-care planning in our outpatient or halfway housing programs.

Recovering from addiction isn’t easy—but with an 82% program completion rate, we know you can be a success here.  All counseling services are private and confidential. Anyone can request services–a doctor’s referral is not required.
